The Easter Bunny Came!
Brian and I had a great Easter! It was the last day of his Spring Break :(
We decided to do a little basket exchange and I got Brian some of his favorit candy, an i tunes card, and the King of Queens last season.
Brian and I like to watch the reruns of this show and really find it funny. We have been trying to rent some of the seasons and have not been successful because none of the movie stores have it out here. I am reminded that I live in a small town when I go to the 2 movie stores in town and can't find what I am looking for and realize that if I really want this I am either going to have to buy it or drive for 30 minutes to Cedar Rapids to rent it and then make that drive again to return it. It seems like a little too much work to just rent a movie, so when I saw the last season for sale I thought I would buy it.
Brian got me my favorite, Reese's Eggs! He also got me Enchanted the movie, this fun shirt, and a new game! The shirt has kind of a story as well. The other day Brian and I were in the mall and we were talking about the old cartoons and how great they were when we grew up and how lame the ones are now. The Greats, you know, like Duck Tales, Gummy Bears, Rescue Rangers, Talespin, Smurfs, all those good ones. While we were talking we passed Hot topic and saw a shirt with the Ducktales logo and one with Talespin. It was such a funny coincidence. We thought they were awesome. Well, Brian went back later on that week to get me one for Easter and found out that they only made them in the men's sizes. Lame! But, he did find the shirt that he ended up getting for me, which I really love, and a Ducktales one for him! It worked out great, but I still wish they made the ducktales one in a Women's size.
It was a fun day and great to spend some time with each other. It was sad to see that Spring Break come to and end. I forgot how nice it is to have a husband again...until the summer I guess.

you guys are awesome!
You could try Netflix for those "hard to find" videos, I'm sure they would have them and then you wouldn't have such a commute. (You would likely more than pay for your membership in saved gasoline alone). Dax says hi (he is screaming and running around - I think it means that he is asking when he will have a little Brian to play with)
Okay so first- we love king of queens too! We will have to borrow your dvds. And we have Duck Tales and Tale Spin on dvd so you guys can borrow those for your old school cartoon fix! You guys should have a Sunday where you get into pjs after church and just watch Ducktales all day! Let me know when you are ready for them. You guys are so cute! Love this post!
Oh and LOVE reeses eggs and Enchanted too!
Happy Easter! :) That picture of the Reeses Eggs reminds me of being at your old house, eating ice cream with reeses in it (I think that was the night we went to Chilis?). That was so good -and so fun! We miss you guys! We'll have to come visit!
This is from Brooke. Previous one was from Brandon.
We love King of Queens too. Kevin James is hillarious!
Hey, it's good to get an update from you on here since you don't ever email me terd! I am so jealous about your reese's eggs! They are my favorite easter candy and New Zealanders haven't figured out the whole chocolate and peanut butter combination. It's a real shame since the majority of their candy is made with cadbury chocolate.
Holy schnikes! I found you!
Glad you had a nice easter. I miss those great cartoons too, but my favorites were HE-MAN, thunder cats, and more of that genre. I also miss the corny shows like Gilligans Island (I have all 3 season on DVD) and Dukes of Hazzard. Those were the days.
I am trying to be better at commenting on blogs so you know that I check them and that I love and miss you both. Emron & I did nothing for each other for Easter. We are lame.
Also - I loved the Gummy Bears show. I own all of the stuffed animal characters - or I might have given them to DI.
We love those pictures! You have been tagged, Ms. Mindy, on our blog. :)
Mindy glad you had a great easter! Sooo ummm..what else ar eyou up to? hahhaha. I think I am nominating myself as the blogging police. You get a citation if you don't post in a while. HAHAHAHA...yeah...I need to get a life.
Hey Mindy! I found your blog through Emily Eardley's :) About the movie problem, I can see I'm not the first to suggest, but you should sooo get Netflix. Jay and I just subscribed and it's completely awesome! Two thumbs up from us :D
